Currently working with four email addresses, one that has personal and my Ecademy message notifications, the others have my marketing and incoming mail. Actually, I probably have about eighteen email addresses in all though some I am only reading the messages on a monthly basis.

Now I have the Business Google and the Personal one.

I collect my domain name emails on my Google so that they are accessible from any machine. And also I can block the spammers.   Use Boxbe which is Free that helps with spammers.

People can only get in contact with me on the Networking sites.   I rarely connect to Skype invitations and I use this application to speak to people I have already engaged with online and my clientele.

On the Business Google+ I am mainly connecting to people I already network with though I do have a few Celebrities on there…

Three Steps to A Successful Life

Money makes the world go round – Look at ways of how you can promote your business and it’s services to generate new prospects and leads.

As a self-employed person it is important to spend some time working on the business everyday to generate new prospects and leads.  Creating blogs and reciprocate with the previous days connections is something to focus on.

Be motivated to follow up with all who Tweeted your content or followed you on Twitter.   There are ways you can automate this process and applications that will do this on your behalf.

Personal Google+ I am following interesting people, not following people who I know are only going to pester me.   People seem to be using this for dating and posting pictures of themselves in the nude!!!  Google don’t seem at all bothered  so I don’t connect to people that say they are looking for “dating and friends”

Quite a challenge all these Social Business platforms, I have been used to being on a variety of platforms since I got started with B2B Networking via International Trade sites so creating profiles and links isn’t a problem for me.  These days it is all made a lot easier as you can just log in with an OpenId passport – i.e Microsoft and of course the latest applications of Twitter and Facebook.

If you notice on articles on the Internet you can in fact share with the Social Networks and you can in a lot of places like content that is instantly shared with your Facebook page.  Try and get some conversation initiated around the articles

LinkedIn

Yesterday, I accepted all my invitations and wrote back to a few of the people. Today, there is a further sixteen in the inbox plus over 658 messages that I need to respond to, some of which are recommendations that I need to write.   I will only write recommendations for people that I have worked with or experienced their services.  People seem to randomly write to all for recommendations regardless whether you have in fact exchanged ay communication with them at all!

On LinkedIn I am an Open Networker and also in the Top Networkers so I receive many invites.  Again, just connecting with people that I maybe able to benefit or people that might be interested in what I have to offer.  Very rarely connect with people that don’t display a photo.  In my opinion these people are just collecting names and not very serious about building relationships.

So today, I have been invited to connect to a Marketing Specialist in Singapore.

I can see on his profile that he is interested in Apparel, Retail and Lifestyle Industry.   One of my products is also in the Lifestyle Industry and also can be sold in Singapore, so I am going to accept the invitation to connect with him.

Then I just send him a quick message and ask him if he is interested to connect elsewhere and advise him that I seek people in Singapore and that I will send him the details.  It is a one off email and he can opt-out of receiving anymore messages.

Following up is important and the great thing about the CRM system it will let you know if the person opened the message and looked the content.

As we go into a new year, this is a time when most of us take stock of their lives and think about if this year will be any different to 2011.

Will we do anything new? Are you open to addressing your Income Options and look at new Income Streams

In respective of the jobs that you want to do, always a good idea to bolt on a network-marketing opportunity in anycase until you can afford to retire early, you don’t have to give up your day job!

This has been a very hard recession – pensions getting eroded away, costs are going up, huge increased in the rail fares, generally speaking  people are getting depressed and down.

This is lovely to be able to offer something that people can offer to other people that will enable them to spend more time with their families and also enable them to earn another income.

Would you believe it?

Would you believe it – I didn’t know that it was Alan Rickman that was playing the part of Severus Snape in Harry Potter until I saw “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince“, I then researched Alan’s work on the Internet.  There is some amazing videos and art work on the Internet created by fans.  I set up a Google Alert for #AlanRickman and created this paper http://paper.li/AwesomeCntr/1316358084  I use my Twitter @Awesomecntr, today’s paper also has #media http://paper.li/AwesomeCntr/1316358084#

I connected to Severus Snape on Google + https://plus.google.com/117407795797125311858/posts  Alan Rickman has  moved on to star in a Broadway Play called Seminar.

I couldn’t resist to take a snap and post to my Flickr Account http://www.flickr.com/photos/stella_holman/6394893331/in/photostream, I only have a free account – but it allows you to post your picture against your postcode.

I am now using an IPhone4 and I find this so useful for posting pictures to my Social Media accounts.   I went to a Networking event in Eastbourne on Thursday and took a photo and I sent it to my Twitter using the #Hashtag #TheConnector and #photo and http://pic.twitter.com/BxMfGLcO and on my paper http://paper.li/tag/TheConnector/2011/11/25?

I voted for the .paper.li in the Mashable – Up and Coming Social Media Service, I have found this application to be very powerful.

I have worked hard this week with interaction on my Twitter Accounts and it has paid off as I now no9 on Social Chiefs and my Klout Score has risen to 53.  I am working on raising all my Twitter Accounts on Klout.

 

 

Reach your Twitter Targets

Normally, start my day by reading my mail and re-posting interesting articles on Twitter, Facebook and to my Blogs  TheConnector and Daily Ramblings-

I know that people follow and unfollow all the time on my Twitter accounts but today 15/11/11 I have 6827 followers and I have been added to 258 lists for my @stella_holman account.

Part of my Twitter Strategy is to “Reach your Twitter Targets –

Find & group people using criteria  I specify such as topic, location, interactions and more, to  to find, engage and analyse groups of people on Twitter with the aim to grow my community in a smart and targeted way.

The application I use performs the tasks automatically. will track your progress and  and recommend how you can engage your targets more effectively.

I monitor relevant keywords and create alerts which give me information in the form of articles to repost to my Facebook Pages.

 Get in to the Conversation,which also re-posts out to one of my Twitter Account Timeline.  Articles for Social Media to enable others to learn different techniques I post to Stella Holman – Personal IT Coach.-

Articles that I want to raise awareness and Travel go to Stella Holman, The Connector , these are then posted to my Twitter 

Networking at it’s best on the Social Media platforms

I have to look and read my emails on the web via Gmail as I get so many these days and the general marketing I normally delete it.  Messages from contacts/twitter and notifications that I need to comment on then get uploaded to my Outlook folders and I read them later on.

I am using three emails, just set up a new one to correspond with this new Blog which will be for people who will contact me about Life Coaching and the Business Coaching which will be developed around helping new business find contacts and leads via networking.

A lot of my notifications are constantly coming up via my Iphone4, so it is impossible to miss anything important!  People that are Social Media Savvy normally get my attention by DM or @stella_holman on Twitter.

Facebook, is still one of my prime areas for marketing, building relationships to find potential projects, I currently use Ecademy and LinkedIn.  Ecademy being the prime network for me.

Everyone that I offer the Social Media Visibility service to has to create a profile on Ecademy, as this is the objective and main platform for which my services operate, at least I can offer them a 30 day trial.   I am aiming to recruit Blackstars and have a plan in which they can collaborate and we can then all make some money!

Yesterday, I was aware about another Social Media platform on which connections could give each other a type of recommendation.    connect.me .  if you are connected to me, i will be sending you a voucher at some point. This works with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.  For me those connections combined are nearly 12,000 connections, on which I could be interacting with on a weekly, monthly basis.

LinkedIn being a database, these days having opportunity to interact easier on the groups and also by liking and commenting on RSS threads.

LinkedIn is almost a weeks work for me.   I have to confess with having a backlog of emails of nearly 700 and also over 300 invitations of people wanting to connect.

Have to be selective of who I add, want to connect with people who it is possible to build a working relationship with as most people who connect will send an email and I am sorting through people who maybe interested to work with me.   It just isn’t practical to add people who seek work to be outsourced.  For example when I first started on LinkedIn I was adding everybody, but as I get bombarded with emails about outsourcing to Call Centres in India.  The most off putting thing about this is that these people just don’t have any idea who their clients should be.

So on a small basis; it I do delegate projects to other people  though it is really difficult to find the right person, my daughter gets involved from time to time.  She is very fast these days as she also is on Facebook.  I have been working with the Digital Coaches and when I get paid to do a project I get so behind with my own work that it seems I can never catch up.

The best way is to use a strategy this is a product that I have created  to use with Twitter tools which works quite nicely to post tweets to my various accounts, then all I have to do is build the relationships with the people who connect to me.  Also about caring and sharing, building lists in your various sectors/industries.

The same with Facebook – if you set-up your Twitter, so that updates on your Facebook pages get posted directly into your Tweet, and if you are then sharing the RSS codes with your other networks you are sharing your content with a lot of people.

Who loves Rome, Italy?

This really was an amazing trip to Rome in Italy.

A  4-Day/3-Night Stay at the Hotel Savoy (December 23 – 26, 2011) The  4-star and living the life of the cosmopolitan elite at the historical Savoy.

All  the designer stores are here  for you to explore–Prada, Versace, Dolce and Gabbana—we were  in 7th heaven the minute we stepped onto the Via Condotti and wander into the land of the fierce, fashionable and fabulous!  It was wonderful to go to the legendary Trevi fountain and toss a coin in!  The Savoy is steps away from all the hotspots that have been on our must-see list since Geography 101, including the impressive Pantheon and the world-famous Spanish Steps. We enjoyed a rooftop meal at the Savoy, high above the city streets, so we could take in the beauty of this historical city known for its fashion, food and fast cars.

I came across this application via a business associates Tweet, a good way to measure your activity on Twitter.

Using Foursquare

I am going to share my whereabouts with all the people that want to connect with me on Foursquare.  I have managed to log in with my new IPhone4.   I logged in with my desktop computer as well.

 

There was 25 notifications which were activities on the site, like acceptance of friends requests and ones that have been sent to me .   I see that I have 60 pending friends requests.

 

 

 

 

I am open – random and supportive but also selective – looking to engage with people who are similar to me.  Online for Networking – not for people from overseas looking for dating!!!  Engaging with those who might already be connected via Twitter or Facebook and of course Ecademy or LinkedIn.

 

In fact you can only have 1000 connections so really you have to choose wisely.

 

So I have logged in to Beatty Road Shops as I’m not far away.

I’m in danger of being the Mayor – good for conversation on the web.   I’m sure that there are loads of other people on a Iphone4 inEastbournethat have never heard of these applications as they are a bit behind the times……

Actually, I have sent a friends invite to this person Matthew F as it could be interesting.  Seems to know what he is doing- has had 434 check-ins, has 17 badges and 22 Mayorships,  he needs a bit of competition don’t you think? 😉
